Try it yourself

Import at A1. Ensure A2:A3 are real dates, not text. Select A2:A3 and drag the blue fill handle to A8. Expect seven consecutive dates ending 25 October 2026, including weekends.

Detailed steps
  1. 1. Enter two real dates

Enter October nineteenth, twenty twenty six in A two, and October twentieth in A three. Make sure Sheets recognizes them as dates. Ambiguous numeric date entry depends on your spreadsheet locale.

  2. 2. Select both starting cells

Select A two through A three together. Leave the header out. The small blue handle at the bottom right of the selection is the control you will drag.

  3. 3. Drag down to the last row

Drag that blue handle down to A eight, then release. Sheets continues the date pattern. The result runs from October nineteenth through October twenty fifth, one day per row.

  4. 4. Check the filled dates

Check the last date before using your schedule. Format the cells as dates if their display is unexpected. This daily series includes Saturday and Sunday; it does not skip weekends.

  5. Choose your pattern carefully

The two starting dates establish the interval. If Sheets repeats the entries instead of continuing, check that your input is recognized as dates. What schedule would you build next: daily tasks or weekly planning?

How to open the CSV

In a blank Google Sheet choose File → Import → Upload and select the downloaded CSV. Use comma as the separator. Start at A1 unless the exercise specifies another location. CSV contains input data; add formulas and controls using the steps above. Files are hosted directly here and require no shared personal Drive document.

Fictional demo data. Formulas use English function names and commas between arguments. Other spreadsheet locales may require semicolons. Check date recognition after importing.
